Sock

So when I was at home, I got my Aunt Marie to show me how to tackle a sock, thought it would be good as a small project. Wow, it is a little tricky, a few thing I have never done before like picking up stitches and the like but as always found some great vids on youtube like:

However, this came up on my search too, not quite so informative...

Also found some great free patterns on ravelry - going to try this one first:

And I got some really lovely rainbowy type yarn called Regia. It comes with a knitting pattern, which is handy, and thats the one I started with. But fancy starting some ickle socks for Christmas presents.

Lunch

Lettuce, peppers, boiled egg, sweet chilli chicken, scattering of pine nuts and home made mustard dressing.

Points: 7.5

Pretty tasty, but as anything without cheese, lacks cheese.

Always feels a little weird, eating chicken AND egg in the same dish...

And so it begins

So I went to see Julie and Julia and thought - well I could do that, but about what?

Well I have been starting to knit, and starting to go to Weight Watchers about the same time, so why not that combo? Points and purls. Calories and casting on. That kind of a thing. So chat about recipes and points and stuff, and some other chat about knitting and patterns and general craftiness.

So here goes, chocs away (oh dear - I miss you chocolate my old love.)
